Welcome to the memorial page for

Raymond E. Garza

May 19, 1962 ~ May 23, 2015 (age 53) 53 Years Old

May 19, 1962 laid claim to the day the late Rodolfo C.Garza and Carol Leia Crawford were blessed with a son, Raymond Embassy Garza. He was birthed in San Mateo, California, as the youngest sibling of six.
Raymond, well-known by family as "Boo-Boo"and many friends as Booyah and Ray. He was a handsome, energetic young man, and along with his enormous sense of humor, was characterized by most as a Teddy Bear. In 1985, Ray dedicated his life to Christ as a member of St. Luke Baptist Church of San Francisco.  He evolved into fatherhood with this identical warm, loving, compassionate spirit toward his children.
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. -Psalm 103:13
Ray had lots of charisma and enjoyed telling rambunctious stories to his children while often citing himself in script in third person saying, "Yo Daddy...", as though he were giving a detailed description of an entirely different person. He knew just how to make you laugh even when times were hard. His infectious smile and words of encouragement assured you that he took a genuine interest in your care.
Ray graduated from South City High School in South San Francisco, California where he had his first-born, a daughter, Sha-Meka Rene. He relocated to Daly City, California where he had a second daughter, Andrea Marie. In succession, Ray had his first son, Richardson Tyler, followed by Jamar Embassy, Jaqcari  Sontaneec, Raymond, Jr., and youngest, Rayana.
Throughout the years, Ray displayed his craftiness in multiple skilled trades, primarily as a carpenter, professional roofer and painter in Northern California. Always extending a helping hand to those in need.
Unfortunately, Raymond's life was selfishly robbed from him and those who loved him, in a senseless act of violence. His untimely death is what leads us all here today, celebrating the life of our beloved Raymond Embassy Garza (Boo Boo).
