Duggan’s participates in memorial events and community programs throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, continuing our long-standing commitment to supporting the communities we serve.

As a family dedicated to serving others—maintaining availability at all hours and finding fulfillment in supporting our clients—we also uphold a strong tradition of volunteering within the community.

Bill Welch has been active in the Mission Lions Club and Mission Merchants, served as Financial Secretary for 15 years, and is a Past President of the Hibernian Newman Club. He has also been involved with the Knights of Columbus at Mission Dolores, South of Market Boys, International Footprint Association, Ancient Order of Hibernians, and served as Parish Council President at St. Philip the Apostle. He currently serves as a Director of Centro Latino.

Bill’s contributions to San Francisco have been recognized with the following honors:
Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade (2018)
Hibernian Newman Club Irish Person of the Year (1983)
Numerous additional awards from the community

Steven Welch has served as President of the Kiwanis Club of Mission SF, St. Philip’s Parish Council, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (Irish Musicians Association), SUVCW, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians County Board. He has been Scoutmaster of Troop 88, an Executive Board Member of Scouting America, and Sea Scout Commodore. He also served as Grand Secretary of Young Men’s Institute Council 613 for five years, acts as Scout Liaison for the Youth Activities Committee of the SF Elks Lodge, and is a volunteer firefighter.

Steven’s contributions to the community have been recognized with Scouting’s highest council honor, the Silver Beaver Award, and the San Francisco Elks Lodge #3 Citizen of the Year Award.
