Robert Yeargin

Robert (Bob) Yeargin passed away at home in San Francisco July 9, 2024. He was born in San Francisco Sept. 21, 1948 to Joe and Mary J. Yeargin. Due to his father’s military career by the age of 10 Bob had moved 6 times before settling in Reno, Nv at the age of 10. He attended elementary school in Reno and entered the Passionist minor seminary at Warrenton, Mo for high school. He continued his education at Bellarmine University, Louisville, KY, and Georgetown Law Center, Washington D.C. His law career began in Las Vegas, Nv in the City Attorney’s office. In 1988 he came to San Francisco as a staff attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was appointed an Immigration Judge in 2002. Most of all he loved San Francisco. He enjoyed giving walking tours through City Guides, belonging to San Francisco Heritage, the symphony, opera and enjoying all the city had to offer. Bob is survived by his sister Carol Ridge (Norm) of Coeur d’Alene, ID.

A memorial will be held at San Francisco Columbarium, Sept 6, 2024 at 1 pm.
