Margene Brignetti of San Francisco, CA peacefully passed away on January 6th, 2022, surrounded by family. Margene was born in SF on November 19th, 1943, to Gino and Marian Fanucchi. She grew up in the City and graduated from Mercy High School. In 1967, she met Louis Brignetti, and they married later that year. Margene and Lou went on to have three sons, Dominic, Chris and Tony. Margene worked as an executive secretary at PG&E for over 20 years but was very involved in her sons’ school, St. Philip’s. She served as PTA President, team transport in the Green Van as well as a lector at Church mass. Later in life Margene volunteered at St. Philips and at Little Sisters of the Poor. Following retirement, Margene and Lou enjoyed relaxing and traveling the world. Margene was predeceased by her parents, Gino & Marian. She is survived by her husband, Louis and their children Dominic (Jennifer), Chris (Sarah) and Tony (Angela), and four grandchildren Ethan, Emily, Lucia and Ginger. She is also survived by her siblings Sharon, Gene and Dawn and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, January 12, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Diamond and Elizabeth Streets, where the Rosary will be offered at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
