Juan Jose Recinos

Juan Recinos was born November 13th, 1948 in the state of Jalapa in Jalapa, Guatemala. As a child his family moved to Guatemala City. He spent his Youth and early adult life there until 1981 when he immigrated to San Francisco for the second time. 

While making a life for himself in San Francisco he met Sonia the love of his life. They married and had two children. He lived the rest of his life in the Mission District with his wife and children. Retired at the age of 62. He was known for his struggles but also for his sense of humor, poetry, knowledge of the Bible, work ethic and love for his family. Join us on this day to celebrate his life and legacy.
