Dearly beloved son of the late Edward J. and Mary E. Archer; beloved brother of the late Elizabeth M. Archer, Carmel Jones and Sister Maria Jose, M.M.; also survived by and in the memory of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.  A true son of the Noe Valley, he attended St. Phillips School and was among the faithful of St. Phillips Church.  After graduating from university, Mr. Archer was as an Engineer at the San Francisco International Airport.  Upon retirement, Joseph could be found strolling 24th Street, greeting neighbors from his home on Diamond St, and cheering on his beloved San Francisco Giants.  He is to be interred with family at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Francisco.  Donations in his memory can be directed to St. Phillips Church, 725 Diamond St, San Francisco, 94114.
