Jeanette Mae Affolter;
Passed away peacefully in the early hours of October 4, 2021.
She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Affolter; loving mother to Judith “Jude” Honne and John Affolter (Leane); grandmother to Jessica Roberts (Robert), John Affolter Jr., and Spencer Honne; great-grandmother to Ethan Roberts, and sister to Barbara Hillend. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Born in San Francisco to Orsolina “Nina” and Alfred Raffaelli in 1933, Jeanette grew up in San Francisco’s Eureka Valley and graduated from the California School for the Deaf in Berkeley. She was an artist that contracted for several print ads before getting married to the love of her life Tony, becoming an unwavering homemaker, wife and mother. Jeanette later worked for Bank of America for 15 years until her retirement in 1995.
A devout Catholic, Jeanette regularly attended mass at Saint Paul Catholic Church, Saint Anthony of Padua Church, and St Benedict Parish for the Deaf.
She will be sorely missed and forever held in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial masses for Jeanette may be made to St. Benedict Parish for the Deaf, 1801 Octavia St., SF, CA 94109.
