Concha Espil, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, at the age of 99 in her Parkside District home surrounded by her loving family.
Concha took on several jobs, including working for the City and County of San Francisco, but her main role was being the best mother possible for her children. Not only did she raise her own children, she cared for and nurtured her grandchildren, great grandchildren and several children from the neighborhood. She was able to share her love with all of us.
She was also a devout Catholic and spent a lot of time going to mass at St Cecilia Church. When she wasn't able to make it to the church anymore, she watched mass on the television everyday. In true form, her main focus was to be able to watch and pray the rosary twice a day.
Concha was preceded in death by her husband Raymond (November 2008). She was a loving mother to Jenny (Pete), Joseph (Kim), Raymond "Paul"(Tami), and Annette. Loving grandmother to Lisa, Stephanie, Christopher, and Anthony. Great grandmother to David, Jennifer, Brandon, Ryan, and Sara. And great, great grandmother to Brayden.
She will be enormously missed, always loved and never forgotten. We love you Mom, "Grammy" ❤️
Family thanks everyone for their deeply felt condolences and honoring their request to hold private services. In lieu of flowers, to honor our loving Concha, please say a rosary.
