Ebe Fiori Sapone-Cavagnaro

Died suddenly on May 26, 2018. Beloved widow of the late eminent dentist, Dr. John Sapone. Now leaves in grief her husband of 20 years, Al Cavagnaro. A native of Italy, she graduated from the Liceo Classico Giosué Carducci in Viareggio (Lucca), and graduated with a doctoral degree from the renowned University of Pisa. Taught Italian at the Univesity of California Berkeley,  and later spent her career as a language teacher/Foreign Language Department Chair at Balboa High School. Proud of her Tuscan Origins, she continued teaching Italian during her retirement, at the Commonwealth Club and at various other venues. 

Besides her husband, she leaves in grief her beloved daughter, Lucilla, her 3 caring grandchildren (John, Jeff and Angela Dullea), and her 2 admiring great-grandchildren (Tyler and Jordan Murray). Rosary will be held Friday, June 1st, at 7:30 p.m., and Funeral Mass Saturday, June 2nd at 11 a.m., both at St. Brendan Church, 29 Rockaway Avenue, San Francisco. Reception to follow.
