Daisy B Brooks

Daisy Brooks passed away on July 16, 2021.  She was 82 years old and was born in Monroe, LA.  She lived her early childhood in Marin City, CA and teenage through adulthood in San Francisco, CA.  Daisy was married and had 3 children.  She was employed with the City and County of San Francisco as a Senior Clerk for many years, later she worked for Crown Zellerbach as a Graphic Artist and Secretary, and retired from AT&T as a Reports Clerk.  Daisy Brooks was resilient, charismatic, an entrepreneur, and fun loving.  She was an avid community service worker who worked with several politicians, government committees, non profit agencies, and Boards in San Francisco to further many human causes.  She was lastly involved with the California Alliance for Retired Americans and the Senior and Disability Action.  She enjoyed meeting and talking with people.  She was an artist, loved introducing people to her cooking.  She catered, and had her own restaurant.  She coordinated bus trips to the Casinos and enjoyed attending and participating at the Bernal Heights and 30th Street Senior Centers.  Daisy's greatest service started in her family church at Pruitt Chapel COGIC, where she learned the importance of family and friendship love and service to the community.  Therefore, she continued to serve the church and all that she encounter.  Daisy Brooks was loved by her family and all that knew her and she will be greatly missed forever.
