Joanne Patricia Domenichini passed away peacefully in her sleep following a long illness.
A third-generation San Franciscan, Joanne was the only child of Mario and Mary (Dineen) Domenichini. She grew up in Noe Valley and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, after which she worked for several years for the California Department of Veterans Affairs. In later life, Joanne devoted herself to volunteer activities and often helped neighbors by dogwalking and petsitting.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents and her cousin Lorraine Hanna. She is survived by her extended family, including cousins Sharon, Richard and Robert Domenichini, Gloria Emelson, and Diane Simpson, and numerous friends and neighbors who were touched by her kindness.
Friends are grateful to Joanne's care ream at Crossroads Home Health and Hospice for their dedicated support. Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 8th, at Saint Philip the Apostle Church, 725 Diamond Street, San Francisco.
