Elli was born July 9th, 1983, a true San Francisco native, born at SF General Hospital in the middle of a rare SF heat wave. Died unexpectedly on February 26th, 2018 at the age of 34 due to complications from pneumonia. Elli never let herself be defined by Down Syndrome and became as advocate for people with disabilities at an early age. Elli was a active participant in the programs at the Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center where she had many friends among both the staff and her fellow participants. She enjoyed Broadway musicals especially "Wicked" and adored Frankie Valli and the four Seasons, but her greatest pleasure was her quarterly rips to Las Vegas. Elli passes away at St. Luke's Hospital in SF with her mother Ethel whom she lived with in Pacifica, her sister Rachel, stepbrother Vincent and brother-in-law Rob at her side. She also leaves behind her father Paul and stepmother Joan, her beloved cat Tinkerbell.
Elliana made an impact on an incredible number of people whose lives, the family would also like to acknowledge the large community of friends and extended family, both by blood and by choice.
Friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Sunday, 11:00 a.m., March 11, 2018 at Duggan's Funeral Service, 3434 - 17th Street, near Valencia, San Francisco, CA 94110.
