Types of Funeral Services Available

We spend our lives meeting the needs of San Franciscans. We will tailor any service to your needs. We offer a complete General Price List with which you may customize your service if you visit the funeral parlors, and here are the most popular service types.

Forwarding Remains to another City: Many San Franciscans have moved here and their extended family, cemetery property or roots are elsewhere. Our embalmers have generations of experience. We transport to Asia, Africa, Europe, Mexico, Pacific Islands and around the US on a regular basis. We handle all international transfer documents needed to clear customs in the fastest possible manner. We successfully transfer to difficult countries such as Iran.

Receiving Remains: We retrieve your loved one from the airport or another funeral director and deliver to a local cemetery. Delivery to other facilities and distant cemeteries available, completion of County and State paperwork requirements included.

Direct Burial: Burial without a service or before the memorial service. This price is for services only, casket not included. Delivery to other facilities and distant cemeteries available, completion of County and State paperwork requirements included.

Direct Cremation: Cremation without a service or before the memorial service. This price is for services only, casket not included. Delivery to other facilities and distant cemeteries available, completion of County and State paperwork requirements included.

Memorial Service: A gathering to share and highlight the importance of an individual in our lives. Customized to each person, can be in one of our Chapels, at your Church or wherever your comfort zone takes you. Memorial Services may have the cremated remains present as a focal point of the service.

Funeral: One Day of visitation, flexible hours to say farewell, share with friends and remember your loved one in a peaceful state, followed by a formal service. The service itself may be humanistic or religious. Our Directors will assist you in obtaining a person to lead your service if you have no church affiliation. This price is for services only, casket not included. Delivery to other facilities and distant cemeteries available, completion of County and State paperwork requirements included.

Traditional Funeral: One day of visitation with a Vigil or Quiet Hour scheduled the day before the funeral. Friends who may not be able to attend the funeral service may pay their respects and pray for their friend. The day after the Quiet Hour or Vigil a formal funeral service is held in the funeral home and/or at church, followed by a committal service at the cemetery or delivery to a crematory.

There are variants of the Traditional Funeral, all of which our staff are trained to provide. We are experienced with Orthodox Funerals, Taoist, Buddhist, Catholic and Evangelical, Liturgical, Humanist, Non-Denominational, etc. and we support that by providing Funeral Directors who speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish.

Infant and Children Services: We provide funeral services at an affordable cost to those who have lost their young loved ones within the San Francisco community. If this is a death that has taken place outside of the San Francisco City area, please contact your local Funeral Home and they should provide a similar service. If your local Funeral Home needs assistance with a death that took place in San Francisco County, please have them get in contact with us.

Other Commonly requested services:

Scattering At Sea: You can leave the cremated remains in our care and we will scatter at sea for you. We don’t use a third party because our funeral directors do the scattering themselves by boat in San Francisco Bay.

We can also arrange for you or provide you with the information you need to arrange scattering service from a vessel in either San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate, or from Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay into the Pacific Ocean.

We will guide you with memorial service ideas that suites your budget and we help you for arranging the right funeral service program for your loved ones.
